FBC Dulth @ Ambers--Christmas : Joe and Ana Page from FBC Duluth organized the Christmas Party for the kids at the Ambers on December 11th.. This is the first event at this new location for our ministry. We gave food and presents away and told the legend of the Candy Cane.

Johnson Ferry BC Disciple Now : Johnson Ferry Baptist Church had over 1,000 students for their Disciple Now weekend. On November 13th we hosted teams from their church in FORTY different apartment complexes. This is the largest single outreach in the history of our organization and in the histrory of Atlanta! These pictures were taken in the Clarkston area--which is 85% refugee/immigrant and almost totally Islamic. The complexes shown are at Wyncrest, Southern Place/Old Plantation, Indian Creek, Willow Branch and Krystopher Woods.

Impact Atlanta @ Roswell Rd. Missions : On November 6th First Baptist Church Atlanta took to the streets to Impact Atlanta! Arriving for registration around 8:30, I briefed the teams and then we had a training session. The Roswell Road Missions include: Southern Trace, Sierra Creek and Park Village.

Opalika Baptist Church, AL in Clarkston : This team from Opaleica is made up primarily of Auburn students. First Baptist Church Opaleica is their home. They served in the Lakes, Indian Valley and Woodside Village apartments on November 6th. Their leader Shane did a great job of getting the trip organized.

Impact Atlanta pre-op : I worked with two of the best Ministers in Residence at First Baptist Atlanta this year: Grant Cantrell and Jason Barker. We worked exclusively with Kroger and Party City. Both gave us extensive discounts. Got bless them! We loaded food and supplies for the THIRTY complexes we'll reach on Saturday, November 6th. Awesome!

FBC Duluth @ Azalea : On September 25th a terrific team from FBC Duluth came to help us Take the Church to the People at Azalea Place apartments. They cooked hot dogs, blew up balloons and had a great time with the residents. Our ministry band CRUZ also played and shared the Gospel.

Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North @ Briarlake Village and Azalea : I have had a wonderful relationship with this congregation for years. ACCCN is a new church plant of the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church. It's located on Peachtree Industrial. They helped us host a block party at Briarlake Village and aided us with the Back To School party at Azalea Mission. We had a basketball tournament, a twister tournament, ate ice cream and distributed school supplies. A special Thank You goes to FBC Mountain Park for their generosity with the school supplies.

El Shaddai Missionary Church @ Lake Colony : El Shaddai is a terrific church led by Pastor Hector Soto. The church has been praying over the complex at Lake Colony for months. We had our first Outreach Event there on August 15th. We had around 100 people attend the event.

Hunting Creek banquet : On August 12th we had a banquet to honor the volunteers at the Hunting Creek mission in Conyers. These area shots of our team, plus a couple of the Police Department and School Board of Rockdale County. Toni Branyon is the director of the mission and did a great job of organinizing the evening. Huntington Ridge with Christian Life Assembly, Columbia, SC : Jessica Cruz hosted her home church of Christian LIfe Assembly from Columbia, SC. They served all day long at Huntington Ridge where Jessica lived during the Summer. The team painted speed bumps and curbs on the property, had games and crafts for the kids and showed a movie! Fun!

World Changers : World Changers are always some of my favorite teams. My partners at FBC Duluth hosted the teams from 7.26-30. The World Changers worked at the missions at Westwood, Oakbrook Pointe, Adelaide Park, Huntington Village, Azalea Place, Huntington Terraces, Huntington Creek and Don Juan. Each team was made up of a variety of churches six in all from Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama & Florida.

Wyncrest with Living Word Baptist Church, Athens : On July 10th, 2004 Living Word Baptist Church from Athens helped us "Take the Church, To the People," at Wyncrest apartments in Clarkston. Most of the residents are refugees, as are 85% of all of Clarkston. Countries of Liberia, Bosnia, Vietnam, Sudan, Ethiopia and Ivory Coast live at Wyncrest. Larry Vaughn is the Director of the mission as Terry Stukes led the team from Living Word.

Goldrush 2004 : Every year Perimeter Church hosts one of the largest youth conferences in the nation: Goldrush! Kids come from all over the East coast to "Take the Church, To the People!" This year the Goldrush teams served in fifteen apartment complexes including, Westwood, Oakbrook, Huntington Village, Huntington Ridge, Huntington Creek, Huntington Terraces, Foxfire, Northchase, Wyndham Creek, The Corners, Concept 21-Roswell, Azalea, and Don Juan/Pearl Lane.

Merge : The Merge teams are organized by NAMB. Whirlwind handles the logistics of where to place the teams. Each team is made up of a mixture of different churches. The teams were very well trained and enthusiastic---even in wet, rainy weather! These teams worked at Oakbrook, Westwood, Huntington Village, Southern Woods, Briarlake Village, Adelaide Park, Huntington Ridge, The Corners, Don Juan and Highland Gardens! The had Recreation team as well as team for the Backyard Bible Clubs.

Providence Baptist Church : Providence Baptist Church is one of my favorite teams. Dave HIx is their leader and has a wonderful attitude. This is their third year to work with Whirlwind Missions--and we're glad they did! Even though they had bus troubles this year, they still kept their chins up and were wonderfully effective in the apartments! They worked at Huntington Terraces, Huntington Creek, Oakbrook, Don Juan, Wyntrace, Azalea, Highland Gardens and Woodgate.
